Parroting needs no account and has no ads, analytics or tracking. We run no servers, and none of your data is sent to us.

Voice. Speech is turned into text on your iPhone by Apple's built-in speech recognition. Recordings are not saved or uploaded.

Keyboard and Full Access. Full Access lets the keyboard ask the Parroting app to use the microphone, put the recognized text back into the field, and reach the AI service you chose when you use Rewrite or Translate. The keyboard does not log what you type; it reads the text in the field only when you tap Rewrite or Translate.

AI features. Cleanup, AI Rewrite, Translate and tone suggestions use the AI source you pick in Settings. With Apple built-in, Apple Intelligence processes the text on your iPhone. With My API key, the text goes from your iPhone directly to the AI provider you set up (for example Google Gemini or OpenAI), never through us, and that provider's privacy policy applies. Your API key is kept in the iPhone Keychain. Tone hints are checked on your iPhone by a small model built into the app.

History, dictionary and settings stay on your iPhone and, if iCloud Drive is on, in your own iCloud so Parroting for Mac can use them. We cannot see your iCloud. You can delete history in the app at any time, or delete the app to remove everything.

Children. The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect children's data.

This website. This website (sona-orbit.github.io) uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives the pages you view, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. This applies only to the website: the app does not include Google Analytics. You can block it in your browser’s privacy settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
